Touch of color on a grey winter day

Tuesday
Quite an unusual winter day today. The temperatures started out in the low 50s, but after a stormy morning, with torrential rain and gusty winds, accompanied by thunder and lightening, the temperatures plummeted, ending up in the low 20s overnight. However, during the afternoon there were a few short-lived glimpses of sunshine. The only time I was out though was in the morning when it was throwing it down, so you get an indoor blip today. I bought these flowers for myself from the supermarket at least ten days ago, and they're still going strong, and providing a nice bit of color and cheer in our breakfast room.
