Forgotten key

Alex must have come across this old abandoned key when he was bringing some sense of order and neatness to what previously was my knee-high unintentionally-meadow-type back garden. He didn't say anything about it, but I suspect that in its better days it fitted the lock on the side door of my garage. That poor old door has seen better days (to put it mildly). I stupidly left it only half-closed one windy night, a gust caught it and ripped it off its hinges (well, that's a bit over-dramatic, perhaps -- the nasty gust certainly whipped the door open severely, it hit against the door jam, and suffered considerable damage). The poor door has gone from bad to worse since, until it's now in the sorry state of having to be propped shut with the rubbish bin (which is all very well when the bin has something in it, but isn't terribly effective when empty).

I must contact Alex's handyman colleagues and talk to them about getting a new door fitted. Meanwhile, this sad old key is good for nothing apart from acting as a desperation subject for a fill-the-gap blip.
