Not on foot

The term silhouette comes from the name of a French minister, Étienne de Silhouette, who was well known for his frugal economics.  His name became synonymous with anything done on the cheap.  A portrait created on black card was one of the cheapest methods of recording a person’s appearance. Hence, a silhouette.

I’ve been catching up today along with doing a bit of teaching. So, today, my silhouette is a cheap emergency blip as I dashed over the moors for some shopping. Not on foot.
