Hail Fellow Well Met!

Not sure if it is a fellow but it was well met as I headed out into the garden this morning.

I incorrectly set my alarm for tomorrow so missed the early morning walk but the weather was dismal so I didn't think I had missed any blip opportunities. From the kitchen window I spotted that the miniature Iris were in flower so headed out in the rain to get a few quick snaps. This is what I met as I turned the corner behind the garage. It didn't seem in a great hurry to move so I want back for my telephoto lens as I had my macro ring on for the flowers.

Chris picked it up when I had finished (in gloves) and took it around to my neighbour's pond. They have always had toad spawn there and I suppose it is that time of year!
