Just a castaway

Grey damp and mizzly but an excellent meeting with TJ this morning as we selected a whole bunch of new images for the cards and sorted out some old favourites. We work very well together - we have our own ideas, strong views but are very courteous and respectful and take it all with good humour. Could that be slightly unstraight she mused gently looking at one of my images? er, yes!

The last Derelict Thursday challenge until October. A big thank you to SarumStroller who started it all off back in September and has done a heroic task of hosting, selecting, encouraging and commenting. Thank you too for your continued support when Himself and I took over as temporary caretakers. There have been some wonderful images - a huge variety of every conceivable type of dereliction, much creativity and imagination, and some great write ups to go with the pix. What a very multi-talented lot we are!
My blip today is a derelict byre attached to an equally derelict cottage. Road repairs are going on up the road and the little byre is now chock a block with rubble and boulders. I had to clamber over large heap to get at the little window where I spied two old bottles lying on the ledge. The top one comes from Glasgow. I liked the chicken wire still hanging onto the woodwormy frame and the glimpse of road outside.
And it makes for a good excuse to listen to some early Police: Message in a Bottle
