A Day Worth Recording

Burial Curious

Next in the series of Things Found Buried in the Garden.  Somewhat more attractive and interesting this time!

It was another ManSpade day; digger arrived this morning and has been on the go pretty much all day. Achieved quite a lot, re-dug-over a bramble patch, smoothed the 'lower garden', levelled the path in the middle garden, and removed a rather lost-looking rockery.

In amongst the rockery were these two bottles.  Amazed I spotted them given even the large rocks were mostly obscured by soil and weeds, holly, and dead heather.

I'm assuming miniatures of alcoholic beverages, but open to ideas which they are.

In other news, the Coach House bodgerclysm continues.  The remaining sections of roof are being stripped and replaced. The timbers on the other wall-abutting roof are coming out in handfuls again

This time it's to a degree beyond the roofer, so the carpenter was called - and it's not even Tuesday.

In better news, the Thai restaurant around the corner has reopened. Our guests went there last week, twice, so we thought we'd better go and check it out tonight.  Twas good.
