Well, today is my 200th blip!

Firstly, I'd like to thank all those who have become a part of my daily life and helped to make my experience of the world of Blip so very pleasurable and rewarding! Your encouragement, advice and, indeed, friendship is so very much valued! Blip and my blipfriends have become so much a part of my life that I really can't imagine not posting my daily photo!

So, to today's blip......

As those who regularly follow my journal are very well aware, I just love sunrises and sunsets, so I was set on blipping either one or the other to mark the occasion. After consulting the weather forecast, sunset was unlikely to be much of an event (think they were right on that one!), so there was nothing for it but to set the alarm for 5 am, so that I could photograph the sunrise. Amazingly, I woke just one minute before the alarm went off! I crept out of the house, so as not to disturb my guests, knowing that I was likely to be back home long before they awoke!

As I arrived at the river, I was greeted by the call of a cuckoo - the first I have heard this year. There was no one else down by the river, so I had the sunrise to myself. It was not what I'd expected - no pink, staining the horizon, but instead an amber glow spreading through the mist, making the dew sparkle. I loved its ethereal quality. I hope you like it, too :))

Day 37 of Blipout2015, suggested by PaulFS,  making the most of the daylight by only blipping outdoor photos until the clocks change in October.
