a lifetime burning

Windy

The strong blustery wind has been a major feature.  I managed to get our on my bike for a couple of hours this morning, which was a joy, despite the wind.  This afternoon Cathy and I went for a breezy walk through the near by lanes, before I cooked dinner and we settled down to watch 1864.

This is a shot of some lavender bowing before the inevitable.  The extras are shots that I took along the way.  Getting the wild hedge roses in focus was an interesting challenge in the breeze. I took the shot of the grasses during a brief respite when the wind wasn't actually blowing, there haven't been too many moments like that today.
