Corner of the Garden

I have had a lovely day at Waddesdon Manor with a blip friend - Things Beautiful.  We were a bit later than we wanted in getting there but managed to spend some time in the gardens photographing plants, buildings and statues before moving in to the restaurant for Afternnoon Tea.  Very civilised!

After tea, we did a rather brief tour of the House as there was only an hour and a bit to closing time.  I gave TB a whistle-stop tour of the 'not-to-be-missed' items and we resolved to go again on another day.  Maybe it can be combined with a bigger blipmeet sometime.

I think we both have enough blips to last a while but today's wide angle theme is 'Corner' kindly hosted by Osusanna. My photo is of the Parterre at the back of the Manor House, taken from one corner and showing lots of other corners of this formal garden.

One extra photo added to show the corners of the Dining Room with the table laid as it would have been for one of the Rothschild weekend parties.  It was considered rude to talk across the table at dinner and so large arrangements were set up to make it easier for guests to follow the 'rules'.
