Meadows and monks

We visited the Rila Monastery today. It's a very important place in the minds of Bulgarian people and is still a working monastery.

The frescos on the inside and outside walls of the church are amazing.

This afternoon we walked from the monastery to the cave that the saint lived in for many years. J and I spent a lot of time on the Botany that offered itself to us.

Lots of plants to check on but -
