If you can't beat them...

The Warrant

Last year on the 5th December I blipped the silver Acorn that was awarded to my mother for 44 years of work with Aspatria Scouts.  Today while looking through a box of old photos I came across her warrant from when she first became associated with scouting as a Cubmaster it is dated  (amazingly) 24th July 1931.

I don't ever remember having seen this before but I suppose I must have.  What I find eually striking is the signature of the Chief Scout a gentleman by the name of Baden-Powell.  Or to give him his full title Lieutenant -General Robert Stephenson Baden-Powell 1st Baron Baden-Powell OM, GCMG, GCVO,, KCB the founder of the Scout movement.
