Muttley's Musings

A travelling exhibition

I decided to head in to Birmingham today to visit the The Photographic Angle's My Country exhibition.I heard about it from fellow Blipper Wharfedale Bex who blipped about it last week as she was fortunate enough to have an image selected for the travelling exhibition, but sadly her picture wasn't displayed in Leeds.

The exhibition was set up in vacant office space across 4 floors of an office tower block on Broad Street, which was an ingenious way of displaying the pictures, and also afforded stunning views of the city (see extra).

As I wandered around the final floor looking at the images I came across one of Bex's images, as seen in todays blip.

After visiting the exhibition, I then went to the Birmingham Library for the first time, and what a place it is. Not only externally is it great, with roof gardens and great architecture (see extras), internally it is a really great place to visit.

There were lots of bewildered and slightly lost looking Australians wandering around Birmingham after their defeat inside 3 days in the Ashes yesterday at Edgebaston, so they had an unexpected weekend free for sightseeing.
