YELLOW FLOWERS

this is my answer to the challenge of Friday Flowers, superbly hosted by Biker Bear.
The day started a bit grey, but after lunch Piet Hein and I found it good enough for a walk. So we went down the valley, traversed the town and at the other side of the Weser we climbed the hill. Halfway there is the Hugenottentower. It is possible to climb the steps and of course we did that and had a pleasant view.
We climbed further till we reached the wide plain, after seeing only trees it is always a surprise and exiting.
We walked a path on the plain, mainly maize grows there, and when we reached the cafe overlooking Helmarshausen we drank tea there. The place is quiet, perhaps too quiet for the owners.
From there a long walk down the hills and along the Diemel back to our home. When we sat on a bench a girl on her bike stopped near us.
Piet Hein asked her if she intented to sit on the bench too, she answered that she came to cut dandelion leaves for her hare. Is it a hare or a rabbit, PH asked her. She smiled and said it is a rabbit. So sweet. And then she started to pick the leaves.
It has been a long day and I think it is better to stop now and come back tomorrow with new energy for browsing and commenting.

My haiku:

If I would be small
Like a flower, a yellow one,
But I can't I know

And the proverb:

If you must fly, fly well.
