Suffolk puffs, Italian quilting and Trapunto

All these techniques and more have been used by Mum in creating this exquisite wall hanging. It's all the more remarkable because she can hardly hold a needle these days and is waiting impatiently to see a hand specialist in October.

This was hard to photograph without underexposing and making it look grey, or overexposing and losing detail.

I've been at home all day sorting, sorting, sorting. I want the camera equipment fully sorted and ready for my holiday on Harris before the workmen arrive to do the windows on Tuesday.

Progress is being made, but it is slow.
