Sunset Glow at Curbar

I finally took courage and drove into the Peak District late this afternoon, to find Curbar Edge. It wasn't too far away at all and very easy  to find. Car parks are very near the path which follows the escarpment for several miles.

It's a good policy when watching sunsets to remember to turn round and look the other way. The golden glow didn't last long, just long enough to take one or two photos.

I was aware that my shadow was hitting the rocks, so I slid on to the ground right up against Basil. The little fella was very concerned to see me prone on the floor and immediately did his best to help me up. He kept forcing himself in between my legs to get me standing. What a dog! A real sweetie!
