Grasmere

The weather forecast was quite good for this afternoon so I made some sandwiches, filled a flask and headed off with The Man to White Moss Common.

The car park is perfectly situated for visiting Rydal Water and Grasmere. I prefer Rydal, its a beautiful little lake but I just didn't get the sort of shot I would have liked and, from the far side, the autumn colour wasn't as good as I thought it would be from my drive out yesterday.

Quote from another photographer: " Mum, look at the camera and pretend you're happy to be here!" I burst out laughing, the mum laughed and the photographer got the shot she wanted of her parents.
