Victoria Road Houses

We awoke to torrential rain, and more rain and even more rain.  Later in the morning when the rain was not quite so heavy we braved a walk into town.  We were in and out of a few shops then got detained in WH Smith’s by BB eyeing up football cards, magazines and books.  When we eventually emerged the rain had stopped, the sun was out and the sky was turning bright blue.  It was like a new day!

After lunch TT and I we were back in the car to drive a further 200 miles down the A1 to a memorial event for a young man – the son of friends - who recently passed away at much too young an age.  A huge shock to the family and everyone he left behind.

We left BB with grandma and granddad and he seems to have behaved for them - we got a good report!

I liked the way the sun was shining on the chimney stacks after the rain.  The extra is BB with his iced finger!
