Panbride War Memorial

12.5C and mostly dull, with rain starting not long after lunch. Light breeze.

More family history today, with another generation of a family added to my online family tree and the duplicate on my computer.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano (Amazing Things and Searchlight). We went up to the church and since it is Armistice Day we had a wander though the cemetery so I could try for a shot of the Panbride war memorial. It has a very peaceful setting amongst the headstones with a backdrop of small trees and the countryside.

We continued out along the country road towards Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. Not so muddy today. The rain came on. Smir. No rain was forecast on the BBC web forecast page for Carnoustie until 4pm ... thank you once again forecasters !

We came back along the cycle path then we carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home. There was a tractor ploughing one of the smaller fields just off the main road, and as we approached the last turn for home two or three tractors with trailers coming along the road. The smir was turning to heavier, more persistent rain.
