Had The Wind Taken Out Of My Sails
I read online that Mountnessing Post Mill was open to the public this afternoon between 2:00 and 5:00. I made my way there without using the SatNav. I had a vague route in my mind that would take me along pretty country lanes. I arrived just after 2:00 and the mill was deserted. :( I couldn't even get that close.
I took lots of pics from every possible angle and was pleased with them because of the interest the stormy weather had given to the sky. Just one had sunlight. Not any old sunlight but that special storm light. I very seldom centre the subject of a pic either.
I called in at Greensted, the oldest wooden church in the world, on the way back. I opened the door and a woman said, "Hello, we've met before." It turns out that she is the mistress of a little dog that had run across the green to greet me at the mill which is eight miles away. What a coincidence! :)
