SATURDAY

Cramp, walking, London, Dining Out

Woke up at 3.44am with terrible cramp in both legs.  I was in agony.  I was in tears.  Couldn't move without excruciating pain.  Didn't know what to do.  Just lay still and hoped it would pass.  It didn't.  Tried to move - more pain. Tried to massage legs - more pain.  In the end I just tried to gently move and gently massage and after about 30 mins the pain had passed.  Got up and walked around the room for a bit to loosen up.  Looked out of the bedroom window.  Saw a fox taking a walk.  Back to bed and slept till the alarm went off at 9am.

Becky and Mike picked me up at 10am.  We went to Wetherspoons in Hounslow for breakfast.  Bacon sandwich and coffee for me.

Then we drove to Vauxhall - on the South side of the Thames. Mike found a parking spot which was free at weekends. We walked along South Bank by the river. Saw a chap making a Sand Sculpture.  HERE is a close up of his work.

We stopped off at The Rekorderlig Cider Lodge where Becky and Mike had mulled cider. So many sights to see along this stretch of the river including THE LONDON EYESt Paul's Cathedral , The Houses of Parliament  - as seen in my blip shot  - and further along was Lambeth Palace.

We crossed over the river - not sure which bridge we used - and carried on walking.  We were headed for Liberty's in Regent Street.  On the way we passed The Law Courts, Carnaby StreetChina Town and also Oxford Street where we had a snack in Pret.

Had a good look around in Liberty's.  They had a wonderful paper Christmas Tree in the atrium. Becky took a shot of ME in a quiet corner.

Next stop was the Burlington Arcade.  It was very festive and there were some singers performing from an upstairs window.  Saw these " James Bond " shoes in a shop window.

Then we had the long walk back to Vauxhall.  Becky and Mike dropped me off at the Travelodge where I quickly changed outfits and I was off again within 20 mins to catch the bus.  Called off at Becky and Mikes and we all got the bus to Kew.  We had a table booked at Ask. For main course I had a lovely  Sea Bass dish. The place was packed and we had such a long wait for our food that they gave us complimentary drinks and pudding.  So I chose caramel Tart with Salted Caramel Ice Cream. It was delicious.

We all got the bus back to Isleworth and went our separate ways.

( Newcastle United played  today but the less said about that the better. Desperate times )

Steps today - 25,471

Today I gained another Fitbit badge - The Great Barrier Reef award for having walked a total of 1,600 miles
