Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie gets festive

JR has kindly passed her cold on to me... So I have spent the afternoon on the sofa, dozing, coughing and listening to the afternoon play on Radio 4. Mind you, I don't need to have the excuse of nursing a cold to spend so much time on the sofa!

Bailey and her mum came to pick Archie up on their way to the Hill this morning. Great! So he was happy to snooze all afternoon till JR took him out to the Meadows later, where he must have sneakily rolled in something awful and had to have a bath.

While he was gone this morning, I set to and sewed up all his toys. Every single one (about six of 'em) needed a few stitches, but that's only because I hadn't been keeping up - he's not a destructive maniac. Poor lad, he's only had his plastic toys to play with for ages, and he's not so keen on them - no good for tugging. Sometimes he'd stand and look at his toy box for ages, giving little exasperated grumbles.

Today, when he came from his walk to find his toy box full of tuggable toys again, he stood gazing into it for ages, then picked out his favourite one, and lay down to snooze with it.

Here he is, sweetly smelling, happily getting into the festive mood.

Uncle A has indeed bought a new iPad Pro, and tried to set it up himself. He has declared it 'alive'. I will pop over soon and make sure it's not only alive, but kicking.
