The Whole of the Moon

Mono Monday: Selfie

"I pictured a rainbow
You held it in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw the plan
I wandered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon
The whole of the moon"

The Waterboys - "The Whole of the Moon"

Mono Monday has been a bit more of a challenge than usual for us Blippers, as osuzanna challenged us to produce a mono selfie, and photographers enjoy having their photo taken just about as much as the rest of the population (or possibly even less).

To make the whole thing a little more bearable I decided on this rather surrealistic approach to the challenge.

Today's shot is a composite of three photos all taken this evening.  The background is the nearby hill in the moonlight. I had to composite two shots to achieve this as I couldn't get the range of exposure necessary in a single shot.  I have then superimposed my rather awkward looking model on top.

You can see the other entries for this week's challenge here - why not check them out, there are some great takes on the challenge.

Later:

I perhaps should mention, lest you ever meet me in the flesh, that I might look slightly more wrinkly and sun damaged than this image would otherwise suggest.  Not that I've tweaked the image - that would be cheating ... ;-)
