Weir-d Water

A great day and Blipmeet at Stratford today.  Light was about as flat as it could be but at least it didn't rain and it was the usual pattern for the day ...meet for coffee.. lots of chat... a few photographs... lunch... some more photographs... tea & then home.  Simple formula but it works!  Some familiar faces and some new ones but there's no such thing as a bad blipper so we all got along well.

My blip is of the River Avon when I was 'faffing around' with filters and slow shutter to get the silky water effect.  There was a lot of water flowing rapidly over the weir and the wind was stirring up the river - so an interesting challenge!  JDO and Hildasrose were very patient while I was doing this.

I have added an extra of the Blippers gathered at the start of the day.  Just after this, a lady poked her head out of the Museum door and in a very 'friendly' tome (NOT) said 'are you coming into the museum then?' before pointing out we were on museum-owned land!  Had we been thinking of it we would definitely have changed our minds.

Get thinking about the Shakespeare Challenge for February and the next blipmeet for anyone interested is February 9th at Whipsnade Zoo - 11 am in the Visitors' Centre.
