Pill Box - Pill Talk

My grandson asked me have a look at his course work. I arrived a bit before he was expecting me so I went for a drive looking for something to photograph. I've seen this pill box with its two stepped embrasures by the side of the road between Green Tye and Allen's Green many times. A little further along is another concrete structure. I've just read that they are part of the defence of former WW2 RAF Sawbridgeworth airfield which is on the site of a WW1 field. Evidently the runways and other remains are still visible. I'll have to go back and explore. Maybe that is why a replica Hurricane 'Legs Elina' made for the Battle of Britain film used to be outside The Queen's Head in Allen's Green in the 1970s?

My grandson's work is on the theme of football and I've been helping him with his research into language used. Whilst reading up on pill boxes I have learnt that the word pill can mean football.
