Pitch Inspection at Poloc

Rain has certainly stopped play, I did like the line up of covers. I enjoyed a walk along the riverside this morning, before rain set in for the rest of the day.

I have always wondered why Poloc Cricket Club (founded 1878) is spelt this way. It is in Pollok Country Park. I wonder if any of the locals know?

US guests headed to Edinburgh on the train today, to "do the Royal Mile". They returned to a bowl of my home-made Leek and Potato Soup, followed by Haggis, Neeps and Tatties ... with Irn Bru. It had to be done.

Backblips :-
Sunday 8 July : "Cauld".
Monday 9 July : Sir Thomas Randolph.
