Sea Buckthorn

I slept badly last night and woke up feeling grim.  I got up to gauge how I really felt, took some painkillers and went back to bed.  Meanwhile BB had got up as we had planned  a trip to Glasgow.  He was weary, so was quite happy to watch TV and play computer games instead of heading off to catch trains.  He has just had an extended technology ban – so lucky for me he was delighted to be given carte blanche with his x-box for a couple of hours. After a lazy morning  I tried to persuade him that we should go out for lunch, but he was having none of it.

He did want to go to a beach with his football so after lunch we headed to Gullane Beach.  It was grey, windy and very cold.  We had a bracing walk along the beach and an equally bracing walk back through the dunes.  We were both ready to head home, but BB wanted to play in the play park – and he did, until his hands were just too cold for anymore playing.

We have had a quiet evening. TT is expected home tonight – but quite late. I ache and can’t get warm, so will be in bed soon.

Here is a sea buckthorn bush at Gullane beach.  The extra shows a close up of the abundant berries on another bush.
