Gently down the stream

Lime flowers

This evening when I was coming back from a short walk I couldn't help noticing how gloriously one of the lime trees was flowering.  Spring is really getting to the point when trying to record it is impossible - you can't keep up.

I also saw a nuthatch while I was out and the kingfisher and suddenly marsh marigolds are everywhere.  In some sheltered spots the hawthorn is breaking into leaf and there are pigeon egg shells on the path.  I haven't seen chicks of any sort yet, though they must be around.  Isn't this just a lovely time of year?

Saturday evening.  Phew!  Hope it's a good one for you  xx
