Sunshine and bluebells.

We walked the first Bradford Millennium Way walk back to front today, starting along the canal in Bingley.

It looked as though we were going to get wet but as we changed from the canal to the bank of the River Aire the sun came out and, with more shelter from the wind, it felt warm and Spring like. There were rowers out on the river here near Bradford Rowing club - see Wendles56   here   and in the woods above the path there were lots of beautiful deep blue bluebells looking lovely in the sun.

The walk was organised by Corinthian Column  and Mr CC and so in good company we continued from the riverside up to the moor at Shipley Glen.

The circuit then took us through Eldwick and back into Bingley past the housing development that used to be the old college and down to the canal at the 5 rise locks. ( Extra shows the college and across the Aire Valley to the St Ives woods and fields through which we often walk.)

A good 6.5 mile walk and back in time for lunch and before the rain.
