The Road to Glenramskill

11.6C and wet. Rain all morning, then clearing for a while, then some showers in the afternoon. Wind SSE or South to 28 mph with gusts to 41 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch when it seemed to be drying up. No iPod today. We crossed the road and made our way round to the harbour. We walked out to the end of the park and carried on out the road to Glenramskill before coming back into town.

The Springbank distillery along the road is having a "festival" today. Maeve and I wandered in to see what we could see. None of the promised craft and food stalls were evident. If they had moved the stalls inside to get them away from the rain they had forgotten to put up any signs pointing the way. We did see a sign for where to gather for the on the hour distillery tours, and a very large sign for the whisky bar. There were people there with glasses in hand. What looked like the outdoor location for the other stalls, or at least where other stalls might have been, was bordering on deserted and there were just a few people milling around ... with glasses in hand.

Maeve and I came home. We didn't get wet but there have been showers since we got home.

Note: It just dawned on me that it is Thursday. Abstract Thursday. On the theme of circles. I forgot ... and there were all those whisky barrels with circular tops !
