Just can't help it!

I made my best white sourdough yet today, so I can't resist blipping it for the record. The loaf on the right rose so high that it hit the lid of the cast-iron casserole I baked it in, hence the dent in the top. The crumb is lovely and chewy too. It had to be bacon sandwiches for lunch! I'm building up stocks of bread again after being away, so there's a wholemeal one on the go now.

Another reason for indoor blipping: the weather. This time last year we were lounging in the garden sipping chilled wine. This evening we're considering whether to light the fire.
