Sweet.....

....I thought so......lovely to still have the odd autumn camellia in flower for the wee silvereyes, this one tucked away from the frosts and newly opened.

We woke to rain this morning, so nice to hear it gently falling. North Canterbury is coming into it's third season of drought, the land is parched, our lawn is parched, any little bit of moisture is needed but won't be a drought breaker. It is predicted that Sept/Oct/Nov will be warmer than usual which is not good news for the farming community as they head into summer.....climate change perhaps?

Cold days are looming for the rest of the week, rain, sleety showers, maybe even snow in these parts. Last time we saw snow here at home was back in 2012, before then it was every couple of years, times are changing.

Energy levels are low today, no change with the battle of the flu, just fed up with it really......

Enjoy the wee silvereye, not the best shot as it was taken through my bedroom window.

Happy Wednesday everyone :)

EDIT: Attention All......!!!
A late entry for the world team relay......
Team Silvereye from NZ are in top condition for the world team relay with Brighteye waiting for the baton to come flying round the corner of the track (house), his eye is sharp, concentration is spot on and the clock is ticking......will this be their fastest practise run yet? Time will tell! :)
