Fan Ladies

Last day of the school holidays and what a scorcher.  I always take the last day of the holidays off and BB and I go into Edinburgh.  Our first stop was the dentist. All good for both of us, and BB will only have one more visit from the tooth fairy – quite soon probably as the last tooth is wobbly.

We headed to the Book Festival.  We didn’t have tickets for anything, but we went and browsed the bookshops and came away with two books each.

Lunch was next, after we had a look in a couple of shops.  We bought some bits and pieces and had a picnic in Princes Street Gardens, and then BB got stuck into one of his new books.  The playpark was next, then a wander around to the Grassmarket, up to the Castle and down the Royal Mile, stopping to look at street entertainers.  BB was complaining about the heat so we headed to Jenners where he got some Lego and then we headed for the train. 

My intention was to then go and get BB his new school bag, but by the time we got to the car, neither of us could face it, so we headed straight home for a quiet evening.  TT and I have been watching the cycling – fabulous results, but ever so stressful to watch!
