Marj

Early - ish  start this morning as I had a deadline.  I had to get to Hexham well before 1pm.  The Hexham and District Photographic Society had an Exhibition in Hexham Abbey and my blip friend walkingMarj was Steward this morning - until 1pm.

So I got a bus to the Metrocentre then a bus to Hexham.  The Hexham " leg " took around 1 hour 10 mins. The route goes through all the villages along the Tyne Valley and is very pleasant.  I got to The Abbey in good time - however there was a funeral taking place so I wasn't able to go inside.  I enquired in the shop if they might have an idea where Marj might have gone and the lady suggested I look in the cafe.  I found Marj sitting just outside the cafe.  We had a chat whilst waiting for the funeral to finish and then made our way into the Abbey.  Marj talked me through the various photographs on display.  Some wonderful images of all sorts of different subjects.  My blip shot is of Marj - obviously - and her own exhibit is on the left at the top. I have added a couple of extras which show an overview of the Exhibition.

After leaving the Abbey I sat in the park for a while in the sunshine eating my Slimming World Choc Bar, drinking Diet Coke ( I know how to treat myself ! ) and reading The Metro.

Then I had a look round the charity shops, bought some fruit and veg and caught the bus back to The Metrocentre around 3pm.  A thoroughly enjoyable day out.
