A view from Jeanneb

First, second and third!

It was our village horticultural show today and the weather was fantastic.

Lots of people sitting out and enjoying the sun whilst listening to BD1 Brass band playing with Airedaleknitter and Mr AK playing. See Wendles56
The same band (part thereof played at the the performance of Brassed off we saw on Friday which was fantastic.)

Chris was a very happy chappy as at the last minute he decided to enter two of his beloved garden fuchsias. Here you can see the standard that won him first prize. He also get a second prize for one in the potted plant section. Last time he entered a standard fuchsia I put it on blip as he had to transport it in a wheel barrow. It didn't win anything as it wasn't in the right pot! Here

I got the third for one of my photographs in the 'holiday' section. You may remember it as a blip from our Scottish holiday back in May. Pennan

I got a third last year too so I suppose I must just keep trying.

All in all a great afternoon out. We popped into the beer garden of the pub next door and chatted with friends and son Alex joined us. This rather amazing motor cycle arrived in the car park. (Chris thinks it's a Sun auto cycle which may date back nearly a hundred years - extra )
