MonoMonday: Culture

I'm pretty sure that I'll be the only one to go this route on culture, but what can I say--I'm a fan!  :))
According to Wiki, "Culture" can also be a word for people's way of life, meaning the way groups do things. "A culture is passed on to the next generation by learning", which explains my love of (American) football.
My dad and 4 brothers  watched the Packers play every Sunday during football Season, & back then people only had one TV, so I either had to be quiet and watch with them, or go somewhere else by myself. This Sunday ritual was played out in homes all across the state, & over the years that hasn't changed a bit!  What you do in Wisconsin on a Sunday revolves around what time the Packers play! In many churches during football season, the services end with "God bless the Green Bay Packers"! We take great pride in the fact that even in years when they don't do well, the stadium is  always full, unlike many other teams in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers are the only team in American Professional Sports that are owned by the public, and Green Bay is the smallest city to boast an NFL team, with a population of a little over 100,000. You could show this picture to any child in the state & they could name these 3 famous quarterbacks:
Bart Starr: the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team to 5 league championships as well as the winning of both Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II. MVP of both those Superbowls, and inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977.
Brett Farve: the first quarterback in NFL history to pass for 500 touchdowns and throw for over 70,000 yards. MVP of the National Football League for 3 consecutive years, winner of 8 division championships, 5 NFC championships, and 2 Super Bowl appearances, winning one of them. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year.
Aaron Rodgers: current quarterback, & winner of Superbowl XLV. Was also named MVP of that Super Bowl......and hopefully, he'll take us to another Super Bowl this coming year!   Hope springs eternal!   :))
