Froggie Went a Courtin'

It's been rainy out lately, and there wasn't much blue sky or good light to be found. I brought the Dancing Girls in to work to hang out with me, just for some fun. They quickly grew bored of work duties and took up with my pal Froggie, who lives on my desk.

Froggie is actually solar-powered and supposedly swings back and forth when there is enough light. However, my office doesn't have any windows, so there isn't much action to be had yet.

But swingin' or no swingin', Froggie did do a fine job of chatting up those Dancing Girls. Within minutes, he had them eating out of his . . . well, his whatever it is that frogs DO have.

You'll note a few jelly beans lined up on top of the solar panel, possible treats for the Dancing Girls. It's always good to keep them happy, and snacks sometimes help do that. And of course, down front, as always, the Crittergators are looking on, enjoying this charming blue-sky scene.

The soundtrack is Froggie Went a Courtin', a children's tune that originated in Scotland in the 1500s. It has been performed by many, and here are just a few selections to choose from: Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Burl Ives, and Pete Seeger.
