Wren again

He was back again today, and I couldn't resist snapping away. The poem I wrote a few years ago ...

Farthing-framed I found you, first,
when, as a child, I clutched the coin
possessing you, wren.

Flimsy-feathered, as small and round
as the coin you graced, caught in a glimpse,
capricious wren.

Warming the woods with your warning trill,
you burrow in bracken and bramble,
warbling wren.

Stolen from skies to thrill the earth,
a tilt-tail joker, bewildering winter,
whimsical wren.
