Stowe

We had a lovely walk at Stowe this afternoon.
After all the excitement of ice skating and having friends over yesterday we got off to a slow start today.
I lazed around in the bath while Mr K oversaw homework then it was lunch and a trip to Tescos. Exciting stuff!!
We finally left for Stowe at about 3pm and had a fabulous time. Archie hates the car - turning into a dribbling heap of misery - but as soon as he is out he's happy as Larry!
The Little Misses took turns running along with him and it made me so happy to see them all flying through the trees on the way down to the gates.
As usual he was fussed over by almost everyone we met. He likes other dogs but he LOVES people and I have a feeling he'd go off with anyone who made enough of a fuss of him!!
We met an enormous cockapoo on the way in whose dad was a standard poodle. He look like a Great Dane!!
We also met one exactly the same size as Archie but five weeks younger. His dad was a miniature poodle which is what we thought Archie's dad was. No we're not so sure - he may be a titchy little toy!!!
We're not at all bothered either way. In fact I'd secretly like him to stay small and easy to have on your knee!!
We walked/ran down to the gate, let Archie have his first explore of the first temple in the garden and then walked back up to the shop and the cafe.
As usual the Little Misses' pocket money from Nanny and Grandad was burning a whole in their pocket so they were happy to be let loose in the shop. Miss L bought herself another dino dig - bones set in plaster that she has to dig out with her archaeological tools (and make as much mess as is humanly possible!!)
Miss E bought Animal Top Trumps and we played as we sat outside the cafe drinking delicious hot chocolate. In fact we played so much that it got dark and we could hardly see the cards!
The Little Misses carried on playing as we walked back the car despite it being completely dark!
And they carried on in the car and at home.
£5 well spent!!
