Hogmanay happiness

After a night spent listening to R4, the noisy neighbours upstairs who always appear to move furniture at 2 am and #1 son snoring like a train I finally slept at 4.

Breakfast was nasi lemak made by the Bomba wives across at #10. Then to the cinema at Tropicana to see 'Moana' which was very good. I didn't wear enough clothes and Olivia loved the popcorn.

Korean lunch at Mr Dagbali and then Olivia played in the balloons which was great. We finished off with a trip to Daiso and then buying ( extortionately) expensive Prosecco.

Now after a snooze, bangers, mash and beer we're waiting for the the end of 2016 and illegal fireworks. I've watched thecAuckland ones on the BBC.

A friend J is here. I've met her a few times. Her mum went home thecsay I arrived. Turns out we know each other from Aberdeen Education days, and St Machar Academy. It IS a small world.

Happy New Year! Hope it's better than 2016. But I'm not holding my breath.
