An ordinary life....

Happy Days...

Woke up this morning with a sense of well being that only exists when I know my boy is ok.   Such a relief.

Alan's support worker Ashleigh arrived but she wasn't feeling great and it was clear her chest infection from three weeks ago had returned.  Poor thing.  There are so many bugs around.  I blame the mild winter.  Sent her home as there's no way she had the energy to work (she'd come in as she hadn't wanted to let us down.  What a girl!) plus I didn't want Alan exposed to any more bugs.

It's been quite a productive day.  It always amazes me what I can get done when not having to worry about Alan!  He's been on good form throughout the day, blethering and laughing.  Still tired but we've been told it could take up to six months before he's back to full strength.   Major surgery, chickenpox and now pneumonia.  That's certainly going to knock the stuffing out of you.

The joiner fitted the seat in our little bootroom today (ignore the pile of sawdust :-) and I too this photo to text to D's sister as she wanted to see it. It's the only photo I've taken today so it's my blip.

Things are progressing to completion with the building work.  The pool room floor is now fully tiled and they've started on the walls.  The small changing room is complete, Alan's wetroom is complete, just the doors to hang back up.  The garden room floor is fully tiled, the walls and woodwork are painted, the media storage unit we asked for at the last minute has been build, radiator covers fitted.   We can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel.

Eleanor and Kenny are coming up tomorrow to try and get some more kitchen boxes unpacked and get stuff into the loft.   Oh and our new dining table is being delivered tomorrow and we have nowhere to put it!  The current dining room, which will become Alan's living room already has a large dining table in it (which we need to sell) as well as our kitchen table and our previous kitchen table!  I could open a table shop!  The new table will have to be assembled and left in the hall I think.

Organised chaos!  But it sure beats sitting in hospital!  :-))
