Stark Contrast (AT83)

Hobbs's encouragement to experiment, see the Wide angle Wednesday entries, had me thinking about experimenting with shades and contrast so this week's effort for Abstract Thursday is black strapping tape running across white cardboard with the tone curve in Lightroom pushing the highlights out to white and the shadows out to black.  I ran over the tape itself with an adjustment brush set to dip the clarity, which combined with the uneven lighting has made the tape itself more like a fading track mark.

Not quite sure how this fits in with the theme of celebration ... wrapping around a birthday gift? :-)
