BARBED WIRE

Following my two visits to hydrotherapy, that same evening and during the night, I have been in a tremendous amount of pain.

I got up this morning just after 9 a.m., took some painkillers and was determined to go out to do some shopping, but I just couldn’t, so got back into bed, put on some quiet music, Worship Without Words, and let it “wash over me”.  I went back to sleep and eventually got up at 11.30 and felt much better.  Mr. HCB told me he had been busy cleaning in the kitchen, so I suggested we went to the Three Trees Farm Shop Café and had lunch – not only is the food good, but there is a lovely view from there too.

I really enjoyed the gammon, egg and chips and we watched several kestrels and buzzards whilst we were eating.  We then set off back home along our favourite road, which goes near Liddington Hill and I was on the lookout for something to blip.  It was quite muddy along this road, so I didn’t get out, as I didn’t think crutches and mud would go together!

I managed to get this shot from the passenger seat in the car and was quite pleased with it – so here is my offering for Derelict Sunday - on Friday – but today being Holocaust Day perhaps the barbed wire is appropriate.

“And no matter what anybody says about grief
and about time healing all wounds,
          the truth is,
there are certain sorrows that never fade away
     until the heart stops beating
and the last breath is taken.”
