Tonight I enjoyed visiting with a friend visiting from Nebraska. We met almost 18 years ago when she was homeless. Long story, but we became friends and she moved in with us for awhile. Now she lives near her daughter & grandchildren; nice to see that she has gotten her life together and she is doing okay. She was brought back to Oregon to be a witness at a Murder Trial; she was at a bus stop when she saw the crime 19 years ago. Why such a long time until the trial? The defendant was finally found in Mexico, so now he is being charged. She is a bit nervous so I will wait with her in the hall tomorrow while she waits to be called to testify and I will go into the courtroom to support her. A new experience for both of us. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
