But, then again . . . . .

Origami Kimono Quilt.

Visited a quilting friend to deliver stuff for the show at Inglestone this week-end. I’ve been party to the production of a pattern book (yours for only £4) to sell there to raise funds for Linus. The lady proudly showed us her latest UFO, an origami kimono quilt. The kimonos are not yet stitched on but merely resting in place, and this is just one panel out of nine (or is it twelve) Both Mrs TD and myself think we can reliably count up to nine, but that would make it square which would be unusual. Where its final resting place will be is not clear yet, but I’m certain that it won’t end up in the hand of some snotty-nosed temporary resident of the Sick Kids; though rest assured, they will get their share in due course.
I’m afraid that the pop-up flash doesn’t do justice – but needs must when the devil drives. At least it gives you a flavour.

On our way back we took Merlin for a wee daunder around the country park where we stopped to chat to a man walking a rather overweight friendly terrier; he had inherited it from his mother and complained that she had seriously overfed the poor beast. She had obviously overfed her children as well.
