Daily bread

One of my jobs for today was to go to the wonderful bakery down Gloucester Rd to buy a Sour Dough loaf.
The bakery is so popular they have an in door and an outdoor. Think you can see why from the window display.

Before this I had painted a door in the kitchen (this is on a new cupboard to house the boiler which has been moved out of the bathroom).
I had a coffee and later lunch before returning up the road (4 miles in total) in time to paint a second coat. I then had a bit of post new bathroom cleaning to do. Mum's do come in useful sometimes.

My rewards were getting to use the new rainshower this morning (lovely) and a splendid dinner tonight. This time we took them us down the road to Lona, a Lebanese grill and Juice Bar. We had cocktails but this time they were all fruit. Mine was orange, raspberry banana and mango, Grace's was orange, carrot apple and ginger (extra). We followed this with a jumbo mezzo to share and a chicken kebab also to share.

Lots of refreshing mint tea to finish - we can do non alcoholic sometimes even on a Friday.

Nice way to start the weekend. Hope you have a nice one.
