Diary of an Edinburgher

We meet a Tzar

A walk up the Hill today, and it was positively warm ! Hats and jumpers were discarded, and we sat for ages on a bench looking out over the city. A man came with huge big black dog called Tzar, which turned out to be a Giant Schnauzer, although he (the dog) didn't have a beard, so we didn't recognise him as a big cousin of Archie's. He had a Very Loud bark. And he barked in Archie's wee face, trying to get him to play. Archie chose not to.

I left the others to continue up the hill and down the steps and home via the Duck Pond, while I nipped back to the car and drove home. This arrangement suits us all!

Back home and I managed an episode of VEEP before the others arrived. We settled down for a binge session of Mary Berry, with JR taking notes on her iPad. Bolognaise with a proper Italian ragu coming up this week (I hope).

We're off out for tea/supper/dinner a meal this evening at Molly Collie's house! How exciting.
