My eldest granddaughter paid a visit to the Dower House this afternoon to tell us she had been awarded a Saltire Scholarship to spend 8 weeks this summer as an intern Operational Analyst with Barclay's Bank in Geneva. Needless to say His Lordship and I are delighted and so proud of her. She is an economics student at Stirling University and works exceedingly hard for her successes.

Other than that, there was a trip into town this morning for a purchase I have had my eye on for about 3 years. Finally His Lordship took pity on me and remedied my deprivation. I know one member of the family who will roll his eyes in despair! Bring it on!
