Derelict Sunday, scrap in the woods

Went wood hunting this morning which turned out to be a much longer walk than anticipated. In the end we covered over 71/2 miles in gloriously warm spring weather.

Unfortunately the wood we went to look at was too close to the M20 to be of interest to us. We could hear the traffic and indeed the HS1 and local railway.

The extended time on our walk curtailed our afternoon activities somewhat. In the end there was just time for me to sow some seeds and tidy out the shed while Susan cooked dinner.

The reason for the rush was because we were going to Canterbury to see the Mighty Doonans at the Gulbenkian. And what a great evening it was. Extensive variety of folk rock and clog dancing from a long standing band from the North East.
