Spring Greens

A much better day than the rain we experienced, all the way back from Bristol last night would have suggested.

No wind and quite bright for our morning walk across Low Park, with the young bullocks we met last week still in situ.
It was nice to be back with my walking friends and we headed through Mouse Woods down to Beckfoot after crossing the fields. Harden Beck flows down to Beckfoot under the familiar bridge to join the River Aire in Bingley. Here it is just above the pack horse bridge as we crossed to enter the golf course.
I liked the sparkle on the water here and the lovely spring greens on the trees.

Spent the rest of the morning packing up glass and chine from one of my dining room cupboards ready for the decorator next week. Grace had texted me to tell me Carol King was being interviewed on Radio Two so I listened to it whilst I worked.
Tapestry was THE iconic album of my college years and I still love every number on it.

Having a sit down now and may pick up my knitting. Son Alex is coming for a bank holiday tea and then he and Chris will go to the pub quiz tonight and I'll get a nice night in to myself.
Little pleasures.

Hope you're all (UK) having a good Easter Monday don't know how far the holiday extends elsewhere.
