Girls in the Park

We went up to Nuneaton today to visit Mr P and Mrs N. And the lovely Miss S and Baby S of course!
Miss S was smitten with the older girls and within minutes of our arrival they were all upstairs bouncing on the bed and having a fine old time!
They also had lots of fun outside on the swing and the seesaw (apart from Miss L accidentally whacking Miss S in the head with the swing and then behaving as if she'd rather pluck out her own eyes than say sorry!!)
Lunch was delicious roast beef followed by amazing panna cotta, fruit salad and homemade rhubarb compote. Mmmmmmm!!! I will be attempting my own panna cotta soon as it was so tasty!!
And growing rhubarb!
Miss E didn't eat much - despite my warnings that she'd be hungry again in no time and wouldn't be getting anything else.
She spent the next several hours whinging about being hungry. That'll learn her!!
While the grown ups sat and finished lunch and chatted, Miss E took herself off to the living room and lay on the sofa reading Mrs N's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She can spot anything Harry Potter related at fifty paces!!
Miss S snuggled up next to her on the sofa "reading" a book of her own. So sweet!!!
After a bit more craziness in the garden - mostly from Archie who didn't cover himself in glory!! - we went out to the beautiful Riversley Park.
The Little Misses took Miss S under their wing as soon as we got there and it was so funny watching them do "weeeeeeee jumps" with her just like we do with them!
We had a little walk round, sat on the grass and had yummy ice creams from the van and then had an hour in the brilliant playground. Lovely!!
Back to theirs for a quick cup of tea (and more whinging about being hungry!) then it was time to head home.
Via McDonalds because, to be fair, it was now dinner time!!!!
